TAANA Sections & Committees

Education, New Graduate & Student Section

Promotes core legal education in nursing programs, awareness of the unique role and function of the nurse attorney in nursing education, and acceptance in the academic community of the Juris Doctor as a terminal degree in nursing education.

Health Law and Compliance Section

Provides resources, education, and leadership in these areas by making resources available in the form of publications, offering educational programs on "hot topics" in health law, and creating a network of leaders in the field of health law and compliance.

Solo Practice Section

Open to members currently or seeking to be in solo practice. Addresses challenges specific to single person firms by assisting members in building and maintaining successful solo practices as Nurse Attorneys.

Committee for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

The DEI Committee purpose is to establish a supportive and welcoming environment in which members of all backgrounds and demographic characteristics can come together.

Conference Planning Committee

The Conference Planning Committee collaborates with staff to plan national meetings and educational programs. http://taana.org/conference.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee manages TAANA's social media content, and manages the layout, design and distribution of the TAANA quarterly newsletter.

Finance Committee

The TAANA Finance Committee exists to secure the financial health of TAANA organization. Appointed members have a fiduciary duty to ensure that the financial matters of the organization are in line with the mission of the organization.

Nominations & Elections Committee

Prepares slate of candidates for Board of Directors, conducts the election process.
