The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) seeks a dynamic, visionary leader to serve in the inaugural position of Associate/Assistant Dean for Equity and Inclusion in the College of Nursing. This new role is derived from, and built upon, a history of ethics and inclusion in nursing, coupled with the passion of new leadership, Dean Laurie Badzek, who seeks to further University and nursing led diversity initiatives within the College. The Associate/Assistant Dean will serve as the College’s chief equity, diversity and inclusion officer, focused on inclusive excellence amongst all students, postdoctoral scholars, faculty and the broader nursing community. This new role will provide leadership in five key areas: institutional strategic planning; diversity programming and education; student support; recruitment of students and employees; and community partnerships. This position will collaborate with various units across the college to ensure that effective outreach and educational activities meet the needs of current and prospective students, faculty, and community partners.
